Introducing the ORIGINAL CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner. Stop using aggressive chemicals to clean sensitive MAF sensors! If you’ve got a dirty mass air flow sensor your car isn’t driving to its full potential. Pollen, dust particles and soot can build up and burn onto MAF sensor hot-wires causing incorret measurements of air flow and mass. In most cases the air/fuel ratio will run rich with fuel resulting in sputtering, hard-starting, stalling, excess emissions, wasted fuel, power loss and even automatic transmission shifting problems. Oil can also build up on the wires, especially from over-oiled reusable air filter. Oil travels directly from the air filter onto the MAF hot-wires causing faulty read-outs. With no arternative many technicians and DIY’ers are using aggressive chemicals like brake, carburetor and air-intake cleaners to clean fragile MAF hot-wires and housings. These chemicals can cause serious and expensive damage to sensitive equipment, especially plastic. Finally, the right product for the job! CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner safely and easily cleans the MAF hot-wires and electrical components without damage to the wires or plastic housing. The whole job should take less than 10 minutes! Safely Cleans & Protects MAF Sensors PLASTIC SAFE & Leaves No Residue Increases Horsepower Decreases Hesitation & Pinging Improves Fuel Economy & MPG Reduces Rough Idle Part number 5110 Ask your sales rep for more details today.

You should use gloves And shouldn’t use that much crc
i bet the dude gets high off the amount of spray on his hands, PARTY!
cleaned my 2001 ford taurus ses maf sensor with this today, worked amazing
a lot smother start up and could tell a big difference when i took it for a drive
you don’t need to use as much as the guy in the video, just a couple sprays DO NOT try to wipe anything off in side by maf wires just spray and air dry for around 20 min to 30 min and your set so easy to do and such a big difference
After a $150 tune up to my 1999 GMC Jimmy didn’t fix the start up hesitation and no power from a complete stop problem, I figured I would try this cleaner. OH MY GOD! I feel like I’m driving a new vehicle. No more hesitation and it will smoke the tires from a complete stop. I definitely recommend this product.
Thank you CRC. I have a 2005 F150 5.4 engine, after doing a full tune up my idle was of multible code errors. I saw this video and tried it. Extremely easy and what a difference, it even solved a jerking action when the truck reached 30-40mph. Thank you
I agree I wouldn’t do it
I’m all for CRC products, but I did find it pretty ridiculous when brake cleaner was being sprayed on the piece of plastic, the person holding it was bending it insuring it to snap. When MAF cleaner was sprayed on it he was applying no pressure. I felt like I was watching a corny late night Billy Mays infomercial.
this mass airflow cleaner spray from crc fixed my 97 altima, had a stalling when warm , ,,this cleaner did the job,,thanks CRC!!!!!!!!!!!
It is not recommended to touch the sensor wires as they are extremely thin and sensitive. The CRC MAF cleaner does come out of the can with enough force to clean the wires enough to improve performance without swabbing. Swabbing the wires greatly increases the change of damaging the wires which would render the sensor useless and thus requiring a costly replacement.
that type of MAF , at least remove the aibox boot, you need a torx to remove both of the aluminum adapters at either end. if you don’t you can spray all day long, you need to get in their with a swab.
you can stand their and spray can after can, you need to swab the wires to remove the grime.
I used it on the MAF sensor. Did not fix problem. Had to replace sensor. Wasted $10 on the can.
@bonsongo It’s like $7. Why take a chance with anything else?
CRC is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The CRC MAF cleaner is one of the best out there on the market.
I got mine from eBay UK
@Jcal022 This applies to any vehicles that have a Karman Vortex Mass Air Flow Sensor. The best way to find out if your make and model has this type of MAF Sensor is to contact your local dealership. If you do have this type of MAF Sensor, unfortunately there are no alternative products. Due to the hyper sensitivity of this sensor you are unable to actually clean it, eventually it will need to be replaced.
On the back says not to use on some mitsubishis does this apply to a specific year or model i have an 09 Mitsu Lancer
Well, just did this. Hope I don’t see any problems soon.
I use CRC cleaning products for my car’s maintenance. I have an 88 Camaro that loves the CRC stuff! The CRC MAF cleaner is a good product however, you don’t gain 10hp from cleaning the MAF with the stuff. That’d be only if the MAF was EXTREMELY dirty and hadn’t been cleaned for years, then maybe.
Don’t knock it till you try it.
Also, try using spell check and a period every now and then in your sentences so everyone can make sense of your statements.
hahaha im all stoned and i see that when he uses the carb cleaner and other “none” maf sensor items he forces it all hard so it can brake and on theirs he just holds the plastic.. hahahhaha HOW LAME… next this joker is going to tell me not to put acetone in my tank because it will mess up my car.. right? even though most products to clean the tank and injectors have acetone!
WTF?!…I’m trying this when I get paid!…cuz my car was acting up cuz of the sensor and if it’s hella dirty it can cause it to act up on me
Use gloves man!
